Student Paper Competition
For many years, USNC-URSI has sponsored the Ernest K. Smith Student Paper Competition (SPC) at the NRSM or NARSM. Each entrant must submit a full (journal-length) paper along with their abstract or summary for the NRSM. The full papers are reviewed by the relevant Commission Chairs and the papers with the highest scores are selected for a final SPC session during the NRSM or NARSM. The top three students are then selected by the Commission Chairs based on their presentations at the SPC session.
